View on Education
Education is stretched beyond the teaching and learning relationship between the teachers and the students. From my standpoint, the primary purpose of Education is to procure knowledge, skills, and abilities guided by the institutions
present in society. Hence, any understanding and familiarity are sourced from and proffered to the Family, Religion, School, Government, and even the individual's community. With this, it is scrutinized that the purpose of Education is to develop oneself in various aspects and subjects in order to be of service to society. Thus, Education enables us to shift our learned possessions into something that is beneficial and substantial in our dynamism. It also works as the vehicle for us to survive together with the people around us, allowing us to share and apply what we learned as we work with others. Most importantly, this pursuit drives us to be agents of change and progress redirected in our lives, environment, and the people within our reach, qualifying us to be someone who significantly functions and contributes in our league. Overall, Education is the concession of all individuals to process and grasp the resources, accounts, and any other sources
in order to learn from the past, comprehend the present, pursue a better future.
View on Social Studies
The goals of social studies teaching in the Philippines are deeply anchored on strengthening the value of the citizenry. At the same time, Social Studies strives to induce civic competence and social responsibility among students by instilling knowledge about the walks of society and the world. Therefore, it seeks to drive the students to be active citizens as they participate in the local and global arena. The specific objective that Social Studies intends to achieve is to make the students well-informed about society, including the relationships and movements of individuals and groups of people. Hence it allows the students to be aware and cognizant of civic affairs. As such, it aims to foster an understanding of society among the students in order for them to be able to make reasoned decisions not just for them, but for the public as well. In turn, they are able to contribute to solving the crises and issues in society.
